Bangladeshi Women’s Association Wales
Strengthened By Unity
The Bangladeshi Women’s Association Wales was established in 1991 to create a platform where women could socialise with other women in an informal setting so that they do not feel socially isolated.
BWAW
BWAW creates a platform for women to socialise in an informal setting as well as providing support with:
- accessing training courses for personal development;
- enabling women to access mainstream services;
- raising awareness towards the issues affecting women due to discrimination and abuse;
- accessing help for any issues that may have been affecting their mental health and wellbeing;
- empowering women through education, training and social activities;
- cooperating and liaising with local community and organisations and statutory bodies for the welfare of Bangladeshi women and their children;
